Overview

What it does

Settings lets you manage your user profile, system preferences, and how your account appears.

The page has three tabs:

  • Profile — update your name, email, and personal details.
  • General — change system-wide preferences (language, date format, notifications).
  • Appearance — customise theme and colour scheme (hidden for school_admin; theme is managed centrally for the school in Utilities → Branding).

Who uses it

All authenticated users can update their own profile and preferences here. School admins cannot change the appearance theme — that's managed in Utilities → Branding.

Common tasks

Update your name or email

Go to Profile, edit your details, click Save.

Change language or date format

In General, select your preferred language and date/time format. Applies to your account only.

Customize the theme

Click Appearance to choose light / dark / system (only available to non-school_admin users).

View sharing links

Scroll to Share Links — public-facing URLs you can copy and send (e.g. the public enrollment form, parent portal sign-in).

Troubleshooting

  • Changes didn't save — check your connection and retry.
  • Can't see Appearance tab — school admins manage branding in Utilities, not here.
  • Profile picture not updating — may require a separate upload workflow (verify with maintainer).

Limits & known issues

  • Super-admins see a notice that User Management, Security, Modules, and Tools have moved to Utilities.
  • Theme changes are per-session for the individual user; other users are unaffected.
